Hypnotic Language Pattern - Complex Equivalence

A complex equivalence is a statement where you connect two things in such a way as to imply that if the first thing is true then the other must be true as well. 'first statement .. means .. second statement'

"If you can't open your eyes it must mean you are in a hypnotic trance."

"The chair that you are sitting in makes you feel very relaxed and allows you to begin drifting into a deep hypnotic state."

Of course there is probably no connection, but by implying that there is one, the subject will try and find a connection.
